How to become Chorister
How to become a Choister - 2

Voice Trials

Entry to the Choir is by voice trial. These are held informally throughout the year. Applications for a Voice Trial can be made to the Director of Music c/o Ealing Abbey Choir.

All prospective choristers should be studying at/ applying for St Benedict’s School, Ealing. Candidates should have an interest in music.

All boys admitted to the choir spend their first year as “Probationers”. During this year they are coached individually by the Assistant Director of Music and join the Choristers for some of their rehearsals. Each probationer is also mentored by one of the Choristers. On successful completion of their Probationary Year, the probationers are appointed full Choristers and assume the duties of a full Chorister.
